Canoe Day..

Got a chance to head out on the canoe with the girls yesterday - had a great time on the water. Ended up catching like 30+ fish and that kept things fun for everybody. Everyone did surprisingly well with paddling, too. Very proud of my daughters - paddling (without whining), finally figuring out how to get the sunnies off the hook (I caught a couple of small northerns and a bass as well, but I dealt with those), baiting their own hooks, etc. Makes the whole thing a lot easier and more fun.

Had some interesting fun with getting the canoe back on the car - it's actually too wide for the rack and so getting it up/down is really interesting, but there where a couple of other guys there that gave me a much-appreciated hand (so a 'thank you' to whomever you are out there). I have been meaning to jerry rig something for awhile now, but after nearly not making it home with the canoe yesterday, that's moving up on the 'need to do' list.

Regardless - successful fishing/canoeing outing!
